As goes Ohio, so goes the nation. The saying that applies to voting could very well apply to Progressive Talk—unless we stand up and fight NOW. When WARF 1350 AM, called "Radio Free Ohio" by Clear Channel, was flipped to sports talk, it completed a cylce that began in Cincinnati and blew through Columbus. This time last year Ohio had three commerical Progressive Talk Stations, covering its three largest markets. Now the state we turned blue in 2006 has gone dark. Join the crew who are striving to bring Progressive Talk back to Northeast Ohio today!
Austin -
Easily the Bluest city in Texas has lost its only source for Progressive Talk. As of mid-October, KOKE AM flipped, but Pixie Sherry and her band of activists aren't letting that stand. They've already brought in a live broadcast of Air America's Clout with Richard Greene, and are still fighting hard to restore Progressive Talk in Texas.
Boston -
At noon on December 21st 2006, Progressive Talk on 1200/1430 AM Radio was silenced. It was only two years old. How does the bluest city in the bluest state in the Union lose their progressive talk station? Well, ask Clear Channel. They showed no passion or dedication to the Progressive Talk format.
Cincinnati -
On Friday, December 8, the Cincinnati Post reported that Clear Channel programmers were terminating the liberal talk radio format on WSAI AM 1360 on the following Monday. The headline read “Weak ratings doom local liberal radio.” This is only true in context- last summer Clear Channel moved the progressive talk lineup from the 50,000 Watt WCKY to the 5,000 Watt WSAI. You can't get ratings if people can't tune in.
Dallas -

Duluth -
When 1490 KQDS-AM was pulled from the air it was like a thief came in the night to steal away the only Progressive Talk station in a city that votes overwhelmingly Democratic election after election. Fresno -

New Haven -
"The Voice" 1300 AM in New Haven was flipped to SportsTalk as of February 5th. Help Connecticut recover the format that relentlessly holds rogue former-Democratic Senator Joe Lieberman accountable today!
Sacramento -
Sacramento, California's oldest incorporated city, has had two Progressive Talk outlets, and the one devoted to Air America and local Progressive voices is in jeopardy! KCTC 1320 AM is scheduled to be flipped to ESPN SportsTalk as of February 26th. KCTC's success in blending the best of national and local Progressive voices must be saved! Sacramento proves that there is more than enough programming to have more than one Progressive Talk outlet in a city. More, with how many conservative talk outlets there are, two doesn't even begin to balance the scales. One, alone, is simply not acceptable.
San Diego -
A long, drawn-out battle with Clear Channel San Diego had them offering every trick they could to make it seem like they wanted to be reasonable. In the end, KLSD AM was flipped to Fox Sports in mid-November, 2007. More determined than ever, join the large group of dedicated activists who will bring Progressive Talk back to San Diego!
