NonStop Radio
has three core purposes:

To discover and assist grassroots movements in keeping threatened Progressive Talk stations on the air for their communities,
To assist grassroots efforts in re-establishing Progressive Talk stations where they have been canceled, or set up new Progressive Talk stations for markets not yet exposed to it, and
To act as a clearinghouse of information so that activists everywhere can come to the aid of threatened and canceled stations, and to also distribute tips and tricks so that any non-threatened station can be made less vulnerable by its supporters.

NEW HAVEN

1300 WAVZ-AM "The Voice" was silenced on February 5th, 2007, gagging the sole outlet that the Progressive community in this proud New England state had. A daytimer station, it was only ever heard when the sun was up, and even then given a weak 1000 Watt signal. The owner of WAVZ, Clear Channel New Haven, claims that no one turned in Arbitron books for it, so we do not have ratings records for the station. We know that there were many, many listeners, due simply to how much of an outcry hit NonStop Radio the moment The Voice was muted.

Stand up now with the people of New Haven! The Progressive and Liberal community there are the ones who knew Lamont was better than Lieberman, and did their best to save the Senate from another six years of Joe. The programming provided by Progressive Talk helped show how busy Lieberman has been in working contrarily to the Liberal interests of New Haven, when mainstream media was happy to ignore that very thing. Help bring back a very necessary point of view to Connecticut.
